For more than 25 years we've relied on public generosity to help us feed the hungry and improve the health of our community.
What is a Food Bank?
The Foodbank is a warehouse or "bank" where recovered and contributed food is collected, sorted and distributed to over 500 agencies including church pantries and area Kids Cafes who then disburse or prepare and serve the food to those in need.
Our Mission:
The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia promotes food recovery; acquires and distributes food, clothing and related products; and provides community leadership and education on issues of hunger and poverty.
