What is a Food Bank?
The Foodbank is a warehouse or “bank” where recovered and contributed food is collected, sorted and distributed to more than 325 partner agencies including shelters, church pantries, senior living centers, and area Kids Cafes® which then disburse or prepare and serve the food to those in need.
Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia Mission:
The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia promotes food recovery; acquires and distributes food, clothing and related products; and provides community leadership and education on issues of hunger and poverty.
